Strange grinding/ thumping noise from front of car?

I drive a 97 eclipse spyder and it just started making an odd grinding noise when in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear and I let off the gas. As soon as I push the gas back in, it stops. Also, when slowing down in neutral it makes a thumping noise that seems to flow with the tire. It's coming from what sounds like my front passenger wheel well. Any ideas?
