My wii is broken an I fix it at home or do I have to take it in to get it fixed?? HELP ME PLZ?

my wii just stopped working re screen turns black and says "an error has occurred, please eject the disk and turn of the wii system and refer to the operators Manuel" can I fix this at home or do I need to take it in somewhere??
