Can the Spyder Pilot 09 shoot in semi if the battery is dead?

I have been debating whether or not to buy this gun. My main concern is going to a paintballing place and having the battery die and not be able to play for the rest of the day. So I am asking if the battery does die can you still shoot the gun in semi without the use of the battery. If not what are some other electric paintball guns that do.
